Allelopathic effect of Datura stramonium on germination and some growth characters of purslane (Portulaca oleracea L.)

Pot experiments were conducted to study the allelopathic effect of Datura stramonium residue on germination and growth characters purslane (Portulaca oleracea L). Experiments set as completely randomized design with four treatments three replications. Results indicated that concentration affect negatively. The lower level induced a stimulatory plant height, leaf area, shoot root, fresh dry weight purslane. higher (1% 1.5%) reduce parameters mentioned above.
